Venue and accomodation

The conference will be held at the Faculty of Environmental Protection, Trg mladosti 7, 3320 Velenje.

Velenje is a central Slovenian town with a population of 25.000. As its rapid development after World War 2 was brought on by extensive efforts in mining, energy and industry, its architecture is characteristically modernist. The rise of the industries led to environmental degradation and a subsequent successful revitalization of the town, making it a suitable home for the Faculty of Environmental Protection. The study program is designed to offer useful knowledge for effective challenge solving in the interdisciplinary web of environmental protection, environmental technologies, sustainable development, nature conservation and rational use of natural resources.
